Small scuff marks
- This is temporary with new asphalt. These marks can be fixed by using hand tamp or small plate of steel. On a hot day, remove scuff marks by hitting them with the tamp.
Gas and Oil spills
- You can try to remove oil with a bleach-free detergent. EX; dish soap, laundry detergent. Gas must be cleaned with water only. Gas acts as a thinner, do not use a pressure washer.
Sand coming off of driveway
- It is common to see sand coming off of the driveway in the first year. If this persists over 2 years, the driveway should be sealed.
Driveway Sealing
- It is recommended that driveways be sealed every 1 to 3 years. Remember, driveways should not be sealed before 1 year.
- Sealer should be oil based; other sealers may harm the asphalt.
